In 1950, the constituent entities in the United States of Indonesia were dissolved and eventually annexed into the Republic of Indonesia in a span of six months, from March to August, this process of reunification involved both political and military actions which ended in the re-establishment of a unified and centralized state of Indonesia. The two last federated states to dissolve and joined were the state of East Indonesia and East Java in 17 August.
