Article: Don't Stop the music Don't Stop the Music (Rihanna song)

Source: Guardian Article https://www.theguardian.com/music/2009/feb/04/rihanna-michael-jackson-manu-dibango

The author has written hundreds of articles about culture and music. He is still employed by the guardian which lends to the idea that he is reputable as has been working within the guardian for 10 plus years. The guardian is a reputed Australian newspaper, usually thought of as left wing. That may affect the point of view of the article, but considering it is not an opinion piece but rather about event that is easy to fact check it is written with a neutral tone. There are hyperlinks within the article of which one could undertake their own research but they haven’t provided a specific proof of their claim. The article was written during the time of the suing of Rihanna’s song and so the intent is to inform the audience of a recent situation. There seems to be no bias in the article, more just a statement of fact. The article is very short. It does not give Rihanna’s point of view. More detail is required to fully understand the argument. Although a newspaper article it is a factual source. Due the brevity of the article there is not much structure. In conclusion this article although sound, is not the best source to use for this circumstance. For this Wikipedia page ‘Don’t stop the music’, it quotes the source and takes the source as factual. The source is useful but the article needs to improve its reliability. Another source may be helpful for cross referencing.
