Letruska is a American Thoroughbred racehorse, who won her first 6 races, including the G1 Clasico Esmeralda and Clasico Diamante, in Mexico. Then she came to the United States to win the Copa Invitacional del Caribe Stakes. In 2020 she won the Added Elegance Stakes, Shuvee Stakes and Rampart Stakes. After winning the Houston Ladies Classic in 2021, she won her first G1 race in the United States, in the Apple Blossom Handicap, defeating Monomoy Girl and Swiss Skydiver, after which she won the Ogden Phipps Stakes, defeating Shedaresthedevil, followed by a dominant win in the Fleur de Lis Stakes.

Racing career

2018: 2-year-old season

Letruska won her first race on October 26, 2018 in Hippodromo De Las Americas in Mexico. Followed by a win in an Allowance optional claiming event on November 9, 2018.

2019: 3-year-old season

She ran her first race of her 3 year season on April 12th, in an Allowance optional claiming event and on May 17th also in an Allowance claiming event. She won both races at Hippodromo De Las Americas. She made her stakes debut in the Clasico Emeralda (Gr. 1) on June 21st. Followed with a win in the Clasico Diamante (Gr. 1). She won both races dominant. After that she was brought to the United States. She ran her first race in the US, in the Copa Invitacional del Caribe Stakes, on August 12th at Gulfstream Park. She won easily with 4+14 lengths and ran the 1+14 mile in a time of 2:04.01. Then she ran in the Tropical Park Oaks, but ran a very disappointing 13th place.

2020: 4-year-old season

Then she ran in an allowance optional claiming event at Gulfstream Park and won with 2+14 lengths. She was then taken to Oaklawn Park for another Allowance race, but finished 3rd. Letruska was then taken back to Gulfstream Park to run in the Added Elegance Stakes on June 27th. There she won 2+12 lengths with a time of 1:35.46 for a mile. The bay mare was then brought to Saratoga to run over 7 furlongs in the Ballerina Stakes. There she ran against Serengeti Empress and Bellafina. However, she finished 5th. On August 30th, she ran in the Shuvee Stakes, in Saratoga, over a distance of 1+18 miles. There she won with 1 length in a time of 1:48.94. Then she finished 4th in the Beldame Stakes. On December 12, she ran a distance of one mile in the Rampart Stakes in Gulfstream Park. In this race she won dominantly with 6+34 lengths with a time of 1:35.03.

2021: 5-year-old season

Her first race as a 5 year old was the Houston Ladies Classic at Sam Houston Race Park over a distance of 1+116 miles. Immediately after the start, she took the lead and set fractions of 23.66, 48.56 and 1:12.99. When they were in the stretch, Letruska widened the margin and won geared down by 3+12 lengths in a time of 1:45.02. On March 13, she ran in the Azeri Stakes at Oaklawn Park against 2020 Kentucky Oaks winner Shedaresthedevil, over a distance of 1+116 miles. This time Shedaresthedevil took the lead, and Letruska ran in stalker position. When they were in the stretch, Letruska began to closing the gap to the leader. But Shedaresthedevil was holding on to win by a head. On April 17th, she ran in the Apple Blossom Handicap in Oaklawn Park, over a distance of 1+116 miles, this race was supposed to be a two horse race. The 2020 Preakness winner Swiss Skydiver against the 2-time Breeders' Cup Distaff winner Monomoy Girl. Letruska took the lead after the start, behind her on the inside Swiss Skydiver and on the outside Monomoy Girl. She set fractions of 23.56, 47.96 and 1:12.26. In the last corner Monomoy Girl and Swiss Skydiver came on the outside and inside from behind. Monomoy Girl took the lead, but a short time later Letruska fought back. Letruska put her nose in front and defeated Monomoy Girl and Swiss Skydiver. The final time was 1:43.14. On June 5, she was supposed to run in the Ogden Phipps Stakes, at Belmont Park, over a distance of 1+116 miles, against Shedaresthedevil. This time Letruska took the lead and Shedaresthedevil ran in second position. Letruska won extremely easily with 2+34 lengths in a time of 1:41.25. On June 26, she ran in the Fleur de Lis Stakes, at Churchill Downs, over a distance of 1+18 miles. Letruska took the lead and immediately opened 1+12 lengths to the runner-up. In the stretch she increased the margin and won geared down by 5+34 lengths in a time of 1:48.57.
