Viewers world-wide have tuned in for Captain Stevers' failed pick-up lines and perseverance despite all calamities. The short form series has an international fan base that celebrates Supa Pirate Booty Hunt with fan clubs, art shows, concerts and even with Supa Pirate Booty Hunt tattoos!
The creators Dahveed Kolodny-Nagy and Steve Sievers have designed, developed, and produced an array of SPBH merch including SPBH t-shirts, buttons, bandannas and a Daniel the Turtle figurine. Creators are currently looking to expand the SPBH empire into television animation, video games, comic books and other media.
SYNOPSIS AND CHARACTERS Captain Black Stevers is a legend, regarded as the mightiest, the bravest and most ruthless pirate in all the seven seas. His son, however….is not. Little Zack Stevers, a 24-year-old built like a broom stock, grew up a slacker with more interest in rocking out on his guitar than raiding and pillaging. Despite his obsession with treasure, parties, and big bosomed ladies, the boy had always been too soft and kind-hearted to be a pirate. At least until the tragic Mad Cow attack that destroyed Pirate Island. Now “Captain” Zack Stevers, having sworn to become the tough, brave pirate his father would be proud of, embarks upon an epic quest to avenge his father against the Mad Doctor responsible for unleashing the Mad Cow attack. Donning his father’s pirate hat, he finds a map that leads him on a quest to claim his pirate inheritance and the tools he needs to defeat his foe. Unfortunately Captain Zack Stevers is still more bravado than brave and it takes the help of his trusty sidekick Daniel the Turtle, his moral compass and wet blanket, and the Rusty Wench to set him on the right path. PROMOTION The word has been getting out with almost 18,000 views on YouTube of the first Supa Pirate Booty Hunt animation "love bites." Fans have shown their love by joining the Supa Pirate Booty Hunt Adventure Club, creating dozens of fan art, and making their own videos on YouTube. Show creators, Steve and Dahveed, have given out over 60,000 Supa Pirate Booty Hunt post cards everywhere they have gone- from the San Diego Comic Con to their doctors office. They have documented all their events and promotion with videos & photos from their booth at San Diego Comic Con, Mikomi-Con, the LA Comic Book & Sci-Fi show and their packed house panel at Anime Expo. Last summer they rented a club in Hollywood and put on our own successful event called Horror Pirate Fest. Dahveed & Steve were asked to attend Anime Art Expo at the Montecito Fine Arts College of Design to show students and attendees how they produce their animation. They also presented their work at the Valley Flash group at Animax animation studios in Van Nuys, CA. The Supa Pirate Booty Hunt creators put on their first art show, “Peglegs & Pistols,” to promote the property. The art show was a huge success with 300 attendees and sales of many paintings. Due to the response, the show was extended twice. Videos of all the events and behind-the-scenes with the cast and crew can be seen on YouTube.
