House of the Dragon is an upcoming fantasy-drama television co-created by Ryan Condal and George R. R. Martin for HBO. The series, was announced on October 29, 2019.[1] The series is a prequel, set 300 years before the events Game of Thrones.[2]
Premise
The series will focus on House Targaryen, the ruling house of the Seven Kingdoms, and early Westeros.[3]
Production
The series was announced by HBO on October 29, 2019. On the same day, the network canceled another Game of Thrones prequel series starring Naomi Watts.[4]
