Fat Mascara

Fat Mascara is a beauty podcast hosted by journalists Jessica Matlin and Jennifer Goldstein. Matlin is the beauty director of Harper's Bazaar, and Goldstein is the former beauty director of Marie Claire.[1][2] The New York City-based podcast was launched in February 2016, and features beauty news and tips and interviews with celebrities and beauty experts such as makeup artists, hair stylists, dermatologists, cosmetic chemists, and perfumers.[3] The podcast was originally launched by Embassy Row, and is now independently produced and hosted by Acast.[4][5]

Fat Mascara's original reporting is often cited in the fashion and beauty press[6][7][8][9], and it has been mentioned as a pioneer in the fashion and beauty podcast category[3][10]. The show has been featured as a notable beauty podcast by outlets such as Vogue, Elle, Byrdie, Nylon, and Dazed.[11][12][13][14][15] Pasts guest include Mario Dedivanovic and Charlotte Tilbury, and actor Olivia Wilde[3].

In 2016, Fat Mascara won the Refinery29 Beauty Innovator Award for Social Media Supernova[16]. In 2020, the show was nominated for the Best Beauty & Fashion Podcast award at the iHeartRadio Podcast Awards.[17]
