Lenandlar Singh

Lenandlar Singh is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Guyana. He was awarded a BSc in Computer Science (2000) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (2005) from the University of Guyana. In 2007 he earned an MSc in Internet Applications Development from the University of Brighton. He is currently the Head of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Guyana and the Chief Examiner for the Caribbean Examinations Council’s CAPE Examinations in Information Technology.

Biography

Lenandlar Singh was born at Cotton Tree Village, West Coast Berbice, Guyana. He attended the Cotton Tree Primary School from 1983- 1990 and the New Amsterdam Multilateral School from 1990-1996. He commenced studies in Computer Science at the University of Guyana in 1996 and graduated with a BSc in 2000. In 2006 he was offered an Association of Commonwealth Universities scholarship to read for a Masters Degree in Internet Applications Development at the University of Brighton.

Research

His main research interests revolve around the areas of Human Computer Interaction, Usability Engineering, Computer Science Education and Web 2.0 and Social Media in Education. His research output to date are as follows:
