Son of Automotive Engineer and Musician Guy Buckingham, the founder of Nota.

Lee Buckingham, born in Oxford, England on 29th June 1976 has primarily followed in his fathers' footsteps in musical terms. Lee did study and has qualified in engineering but chose to follow a different career path. Music however is a large part of his life. Lee's interest in live music began at a very early age, all thanks to his parents. His father, once time professional trumpet player, now semi-pro and his mother who used to be a jazz / swing band vocalist the number of gigs he was dragged along to as a child must have had some effect.

Lee's first band involvement was at the tender age of 11 or 12 and was with the Aylesbury Music Centre Junior Brass Band. Over several years Lee progressed through the ranks of the centre and eventually became a member of the award winning Dance Band. Lee now plays trumpet in his own 18-piece big band, Big Band Swing, and a 10-piece function band Who's Got The Dog? which both keep him quite busy and from time to time plays in other bands and carries out session work as and when he is required.

Lee has been fortunate enough to play at several large and prestigious venues, these include The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Festival Hall, The Mean Fiddler - London, Knebworth and has even been on the TV programmes Blue Peter and Record Breakers.

Motor Racing is the next chapter in Lee's life to be developed and written. After all, he can't let his Brother Chris Nota Sports Cars & dad Guy have all the fun.
