Definition

A patriotic organization is an organization that is devout to a country, usually the country of origin of the founder of the organization, or the organizations home base country. Some organizations can be very loose, without much security on their members, while some are tight enough to dis-allow a membership if the person shows any lack of interest, or dosen't meet their requirements of a high grade intellect.

Examples

There are major groups that are patriotic, even if their views for their country are not the same as others. Take for example the United States: the Democrats, and the Republicans. Two groups of people in the country, with different views. This can cause some hostility, but both groups in their own way are patriotic. They are doing what they believe is best for the nation..
Even take a quick glance at those small blogs that are quite frequent on the internet. You can find them very easily on google[1]. They are small, usually containing only a few members, but they can have major impacts on the world. The majority of them are patriotic in their own way of trying to advance their viewpoint in the political spectrum to better the nation with their beliefs or views..

Cases of extremism

As known with the Ku Klux Klan who thought they were doing a great patriotic thing by trying to enforce their belief of the African-American race being a lower form of human being. They thought that allowing the African-Americans to have equal rights would be bad for the country. In this racist way, they were actually 'patriotic', as hard as it may be to actually think that it would be patriotic in any form. It was a similiar case with the Nazi's. The people involved in the movement truly believed it was for the good of their country, in this extreme way of human brutality and mass murder, it was patriotic.
