This is the historical timeline of SkyCable (including Destiny Cable and Sky Direct).

• January 1 – SkyCable is founded.

• January 26 – SkyCable began its cable television it was officially inaugurated to grand launched such as: HBO Asia, MTV Southeast Asia (later was Channel [V] International; now defunct/now MTV 90s), STAR Plus (later was STAR World and now Fox Life), Prime Sports (later was STAR Sports and now Fox Sports 2), STAR Chinese Channel, BBC World Service Television (now BBC World News), EWTN, CNN International Asia Pacific, ESPN (now Fox Sports) and Chinese TV (now Chinese Entertainment Channel).

• June 7 - SkyCable launched Cinemax.

• Sepetmber 23 - SkyCable launched English-Language Channel Star Plus. (now Fox Life)

• January 1 – SkyCable launched Asia Business News (now CNBC Asia).

• September – SkyCable relaunched SkyCard MasterCard to SkyCard-Citibank MasterCard in partnership with Citibank N. A.

• November 20 - SkyCable launched Myx.

• May 20 – Pinoy Blockbuster Channel rebranded as Cinema One, a digital Filipino movie channel.

• July 16 – PTV rebranded as NBN on Channel 8.

• July 26 – Channel [V] Philippines ceased broadcast on SkyCable Channel 63.

• October 1 – SkyCable launched Solar USA (now a defunct channel).

• November 1 – SkyCable acquired Home Cable. SkyCable also launched its own sports channel (Channel 29).

• December 31 – SkyCable launched ABC Asia Pacific (now ABC Australia).

• April 18 – SkyCable and Home Cable relaunched STAR TV channels (namely ESPN, STAR Sports (now Fox Sports; now a defunct channel), STAR Movies (now Fox Movies; now a defunct channel), STAR Movies Mandarin (now STAR Chinese Movies), STAR World (now Fox Life; now a defunct channel), Channel V, Viva Cinema (now defunct and later it become Pinoy Box Office or PBO) and National Geographic Channel).

• May 6 – SkyCable Channel 7 and Home Cable Channel 11 launched Cable Cafe (now a defunct channel).

• June 1 – Channel realignment: Cable Cafe (now a defunct channel) to Channel 33 replacing BBC Radio.

• June 3 – Vid-Ok became Myx as the local music channel on SkyCable Channel 19 and Home Cable Channel 40.

• July 1 – SkyCable launched Disney Channel on Channel 36, moving Nickelodeon to Channel 18 and Lakbay TV (now a defunct channel) to Channel 74.

• October 1 – SkyCable removed ABC Asia Pacific (now ABC Australia) and launched TCT Network.

• February 1 – Channel realignments: Knowledge Channel moved to Channel 6, ABS-CBN (now Kapamilya Channel) to Channel 8, NBN (now PTV) to Channel 10, Zoe TV (now A2Z) to Channel 11 on Home Cable, ABC (now TV5) to Channel 12, GMA Network to Channel 14, RPN (now CNN Philippines) to Channel 15, IBC to Channel 16 on SkyCable, Cable Cafe to Channel 17 on Home Cable, Solar USA (now a defunct channel) to Channel 18 on Home Cable, Cinema One to Channel 19 on Home Cable and Cartoon Network to Channel 20 on Home Cable.

• June 1 – E! Philippines ceased broadcast on SkyCable Channel 64 and Home Cable Channel 58.

• December 8 – SkyCable Channel realignments: NBN (now PTV) to Channel 6, ABC (now TV5) to Channel 10, GMA Network to Channel 12 and Knowledge Channel to Channel 14.

  • Home Cable and Sun Cable launched Barker Channel (now a defunct channel) on Channel 4 replacing Popcorn Channel.
  • Home Cable and Sun Cable Channel realignments: NBN (now PTV) to Channel 6, ABC (now TV5) to Channel 10, GMA Network to Channel 12, Knowledge Channel to Channel 14, Solar USA to Channel 17 and Cable Cafe to Channel 43.

• May 7 – SkyCable, Home Cable and Sun Cable Channels 20 and 45 launched ETC (now Solar Flix) and Sports Plus (now Basketball TV; now a defunct channel).

• June 6 - SkyCable, Home Cable and Sun Cable launched Living Asia Channel.

• July 1 – SkyCable, Home Cable and Sun Cable changed their hotline number to 631-0000.

• September 13 – SkyCable launched Barker Channel (now a defunct channel) on Channel 5 replacing Information Channel.

• March 7 - SkyCable Channel 57, Home Cable and Sun Cable Channel 54 launched CUBEiTV (now a defunct channel) replacing Lounge TV.

• April 6 - Jack TV (now a defunct channel) conducted on test broadcast on SkyCable, Home Cable and Sun Cable Channel 17 under Solar USA.

• April 17 – To stop further economic losses, Sky, Home and Sun agreed to merge their cable television and free newspaper operations.

• July 1 – SkyCable changes its channel guide; acquires Home Cable and Sun Cable.

• July 7 – SkyCable launched Zee News, Zee Cinema, Zee TV, Power TV, Asia Plus, Disney Channel Mandarin (now defunct) and STAR Chinese Movies as premium channels.

• July 21 – SkyCable launched GEM TV (now INC TV) on Channel 19.

• December 1 – Channel Line-Up ceased broadcast and replaced it with Barker Channel (now a defunct channel) on Channel 33.

• December 15 – SkyCable launched ETC 2nd Avenue (now 2nd Avenue; now a defunct channel) on Channel 53.

• December 19 – SkyCable launched SkySked (now a defunct channel) on Channels 5 and 33 replacing Barker Channel.

• January 1 – SkyCable rebranded as SkyCable Gold while Home Cable and Sun Cable as SkyCable Silver.

• January 11 – Channel realignments: NBN (now PTV) to Channel 4 and QTV (now GTV) to Channel 6 and then 2 weeks later on January 25, they returned on their original position.

• February 1 – Disney Channel Mandarin ceased broadcast on SkyCable Channel 67.

• February 13 – SkyCable launched ZPDee TV (now a defunct channel) on Channel 24 replacing Link TV.

  • SkyCable launched SkyCable Platinum, offering new channels: Fox News Channel, CNN Headline News (now HLN), CNBC Asia, Adventure One (now Nat Geo People; now a defunct channel), Playhouse Disney (now Disney Junior; now a defunct channel), Discovery Science, Discovery Travel & Living (now TLC), STAR Plus and MGM Channel (now AMC; now a defunct channel).

• September 1 – SkyCable launched KBS World on Channel 75 replaced Arirang TV.

• September 25 – Channel realignments: SkySked (now a defunct channel) will be seen Channels 5 and 11, ZPDee TV (now a defunct channel) to Channel 26 and MySky (now a defunct channel) to Channel 33.

• October 1
  • Sports Plus rebranded as Basketball TV (now a defunct channel) on Sky Cable Channel 34, moving Solar Sports to Channel 35.
  • SkyCable Prepaid launch in selected areas of Pasig, Manila, Quezon City and Mandaluyong.

• October 19 – SkyCable main offices are moved to 33rd Floor, Tektite East Tower, Exchange Road, Ortigas Centre, Pasig City.

• November 13 – SkyCable launched UniversiTV (now Light TV) on Channel 5, moving SkySked to Channel 11 as its originating channel.

• December – SkyCable launches its children's club, the SkyCable Fun Club.

• January 1 – Crime/Suspense rebranded as C/S on Channel 50.

• January 16 – ETC 2nd Avenue rebranded as 2nd Avenue on Channel 53.

• March 18 – QTV rebranded as Q on Channel 24.

• April 12 – SkyCable launched DZMM TeleRadyo (now TeleRadyo) on Channel 22, moving MTV Philippines (now a defunct channel) on Channel 57 and Channel News Asia to Channel 79 (Channel 67 on SkyCable Digital platform). Also, SkyCable launches an infomercial about their Digibox product, seen on MySky (now a defunct channel) Channel 33.

• June 26 – SkyCable reformatted SkySked (now a defunct channel) on Channel 11.

• August 13 – Channel realignments: Iglesia Ni Cristo TV (now INC TV) to Channel 22, DZMM TeleRadyo (now TeleRadyo) to Channel 26, ZPDee TV (now a defunct channel) to Channel 61, Karera Channel (now Makisig Network; now a defunct channel) to Channel 76 and NHK World Premium to Channel 78.

• August 15 – SkyCable launched Makisig Network (formerly Karera Channel) on Channel 76.[21]

• September 1 – Balls (now a defunct channel) conducted test broadcast on Channel 33, aired the 2007 US Open.

• September 15 – MySky (now a defunct channel) conducted test broadcast on Channel 33.

• November 7-December 31 – Channel realignment: Velvet (now a defunct channel) on Channel 25, Balls (now a defunct channel) on Channel 33, Maxxx (now a defunct channel) on Channel 61 and CUBEiTV (now a defunct channel) to Channel 67.

  • SkyCable dropped six Solar Entertainment channels: Basketball TV (now a defunct channel), ETC, 2nd Avenue (now a defunct channel), C/S (now a defunct channel), Jack TV (now a defunct channel), Solar Sports and launches Balls (now a defunct channel), AXN Beyond (now Sony Channel; now a defunct channel), Fox Crime, Maxxx (now a defunct channel), Velvet (now a defunct channel) and KidsCo (now a defunct channel). SkyCable moved Preview Channel (now a defunct channel) on Channel 25.

• February 6 – SkyCable launched Asian Food Channel (now Asian Food Network) on Channel 58 moving Da-Ai TV to Channel 61.

• March 6 – Lifestyle Network (now Metro Channel) to a 24/7 channel.[25]

• April 1 – SkyCable reformatted again MySky (now a defunct channel) on Channel 33.

• August 9 – ABC rebranded TV5 on Channel 10 while its interactive TV shopping program Venta 5 is now a 24/7 channel on CUBEiTV (now a defunct channel).

• September 19 – SkyCable launched its high definition service, SkyCable HD.

• September 22 – Discovery Real Time rebranded as Discovery Turbo (now DMAX) on Channel 121.

• September 29 – ZPDee rebranded as SkyBroadband.

• October 4 – C/S on RPN rebranded as C/S 9 on Channel 14.

• October 28 – SkyCable returned Basketball TV (now a defunct channel) on Channel 149, but you need an additional payment for that channel.

• November 3 - Channel realignment: Iglesia Ni Cristo TV (now INC TV) to Channel 136 replacing SkyCable Season Pass.

• January 1 – SkyCable launched FX (now a defunct channel) on Channel 156.

• January 15 – Zoe TV (now Light TV) on Channel 159, ACQ-Kingdom Broadcasting Network (now SMNI) on Channel 162 and 3ABN on Channel 163 were added to the SkyCable Digital platform.

• November 10 – SkyCable relaunched Wine TV on Channel 131.
• November 15 – Channel realignment: Asian Food Channel (now Asian Food Network) from Channel 58 to Channel 22. SkyCable Preview Channel (now a defunct channel) to Channel 60 and will be available only for subscribers with Digibox. UNTV from Channel 21 to Channel 33 (for analog) and on Channel 58 (for digital). Universal Channel (now a defunct channel) from Channel 33 to Channel 21. • December 20 – SkyCable launched CGE.TV (now a defunct channel) on Channel 57, a user-generated video channel created by ABS-CBN Interactive.

• January 3 – Hero TV (now a defunct channel) to a 24/7 channel.
• January 15 – SkyCable launched CBeebies on channel 126 replacing Disney Junior. Consequently, Disney Junior (now a defunct channel) moved to channel 38, taking the slot of KidsCo (now a defunct channel), the latter moved to channel 135.
• January 24 – Channel realignments: KidsCo (now a defunct channel) to channel 131 replacing Wine TV. Channel 135 is now a reserved channel.
• February 20 – Q ceased commercial operation and replaced by GMA News TV (now GTV) test broadcast on Channel 24.
• February 28 – GMA News TV (now GTV) started commercial operation on Channel 24.
• March 2 – ETC (now Solar Flix) moved its programming operation on RPN, while Solar TV ceased commercial broadcast. Talk TV started its test broadcast on Channel 16.
• March 21 – SkyCable launched Digibox iRecord.
• March 26 – SkyCable temporarily ceased Channel [V] Philippines broadcast and replaced it with Preview Channel (now a defunct channel) on Channel 25.
• April 1 – Talk TV began its commercial broadcast on Channel 16.
• April 30 – SkyCable launched AksyonTV (later as 5Plus and now One Sports) on Channel 61 moving EWTN to Channel 76 as its originating channel.

• August 10 - Lopez Holdings Corporation (ABS-CBN Corporation) and PLDT's Beneficial Trust Fund (MediaQuest Holdings) originally signed a joint venture convertible note partnership wherein a press release announcement on August 11 for the reach landmark deal with a controlling shares in percentage stake of ABS-CBN's investment agreement by 34.99% acquisition to TV5 Network, Inc. as well as Cignal TV's sale and purchase agreement by 38.88% investment to Sky Cable Corporation.^{[14][15][16][17]} On August 24, both media entities temporary suspended the closing preparations of its investment deal to give their address for the companies' collaboration agreement space following the raising concerned issues from the Congress of the Philippines, National Telecommunications Commission and other government regulatory agencies.^[18][19] On September 1, ABS-CBN Corporation, Cignal Cable Corporation, López, Inc., Sky Vision Corporation and TV5 Network, Inc. have mutually agreed the termination of their investment deal through formalization for its memorandum of agreement in disclosures to the Philippine Stock Exchange and the Securities and Exchange Commission citing the parties confirmed of no implementation on any of the transactions.^[20][21]

• January 1 - BabyFirst has ceased broadcast on Sky Cable Channel 121 due to permanent discontinuation of its telecast by the content provider. Meanwhile, Fight Sports on Sky Cable Channel 188 (HD) has terminated on their line-up due to the expiration of Sky Cable's expired contract with the network for the second time.

• April 1 - Outdoor Channel has discontinued in High Definition feed on Sky Cable Channel 179. Meanwhile, the Standard Definition feed will continue on Channel 216 but available only on Postpaid 550 plan.^[26]

BabyTV on Channel 121, National Geographic Asia on Channel 41 (SD)/195 (HD) and Nat Geo Wild Asia on Channel 66 (SD)/193 (HD).

• January 1 - PIE Channel and Shop TV have ceased broadcast on SkyCable Channels 13 and 21^[29]
• January 26 - Sky Cable supposed to end its cable television service by Sky Cable Corporation on February 27 at 12:00 m.n. after 32 years and a month, following its transition into internet service provider due to the PLDT-SKY acquisition deal, which disclosed by the Philippine Competition Commission and allowed the transaction to proceed on January 22.^[30][31] On February 22, Lopez Holdings Corporation (ABS-CBN Corporation) and PLDT's Beneficial Trust Fund (MediaQuest Holdings) have decided not to push through with the sale of Sky Cable Corporation despite PCC approval.^[32]
