On 25th February 1980, the University of Bilbao became the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. [1]
Master and Doctoral School
- 100 multilingual, 12 in English, 14 inter-university, 8 international masters
- 326 doctoral theses read during the year 2011/2012, 75 with a European mention[2]
The University of the Basque Country is, for the first time, ranked amongst the hundred best European universities in, according to a recent study published by the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC. In concrete, the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) reached position 99 out of a total of 4,752 universities and academic institutions throughout the whole continent.[3]
