General Erastus B. Wilcott, is a public artwork by German artist Packer, Francis Herman , located on the Lake Park, which is near Milwaukee, WI, US.The Sculpture is a equestrian soldier statue sculpted out of bronze with a milford granite base with a large bench on each side. The height is 15 ft. 4 in.; Overall base: approx. W. 26 1/2 ft. The Statue was erected in 1920


Historical information

Sculpture was Donated by The surviving wife Laura Ross Wolcott, M.D. of General Erastus B. Wolcott, who was a Civil War physician. The statue was erected in 1920 and redicated to the soldiers of the war. The Artist who created the sculpture is Francis Herman Packer.


Location is Lake Park Milwaukee

Donated by Brigadier General Erastus B. Wolcott's wife Laura Ross Wolcott.Gorham Manufacturing Company, founder. Administered by Milwaukee County, Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture.
