Enjoy the aquarium keeping with Novo - tropical aquarium tank!

I've always kept an aquarium and it is hard for me in the early times—daily feeding, regular tank cleaning; algae scrub-offs, filter cleaning, and water changes. Aquarium keeping isn't as easy most people think, you know yourself if you’ve ever kept one. If you have ever owned an aquarium tank you would most likely agree cleaning the tank is one of the worst parts of its aspects, because if they don't clean the tank, they won't achieve the aquarium tank that they wanted.

After doing an extensive research, talking with many aquarium tank owners and experts, I decided to create an aquarium tank that is convenient and hassle-free. After two years of research and development, and two years of testing, I have designed Novo—a tropical self-cleaning filtered aquarium tank.

What makes Novo - tropical aquarium tank better than most aquarium tanks?
It is packed full of smart features that make it really easy to keep fish. Here are the things that make it great:

It is no ordinary fish tank!

Novo - tropical fish tank makes the fish keeping awesome. It is a spherical tank with integrated systems which work simultaneously as one to give the aquarium a whole lot of effectivity in maintaining its balanced ecosystem. It can absorb lots of systemic shocks even if it's small so it's recommended for beginner aquarists. The glass is made out of thick tempered glass which makes it durable and hard to break. It uses a biological filtration system which removes the harmful chemicals from the water. The filtration system is the moving bed filter, this means the filter cleans itself, so no filter cleaning ever. The media are constantly moving which are constantly renews the filter by shedding off the old and weak bacteria, which are recycled and turn into a plant food. Though it is actually false because the plastic would degrade over time. The plants, animals, and bacteria work together to keep the water healthy and ecosystem balanced. Its heater keeps a constant temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, perfect for most tropical fishes. Its plant-specific LED lighting prevents the unwanted algae from growing and assures the correct amount of light throughout the day and optimized for plant photosynthesis and growth. There are 8 individual pots that place neatly into the slot around the filter system. Live plants are a big part of the process as they absorb the nitrates from the water which avoids the algae growth, as more effective organisms, plants outcompete and beat the algae out, aerate the water, and create hiding places for the creatures. It only requires regular and every day feeding and occasional top-ups, as well as glass wipe-offs.

Novo can hold fresh, brackish, or salt water environment. Just keep in mind that plants are essential in the process, so remember to put plants in their respective salinity types.

Novo may seem small for a fish tank, but it's clever features make it a good tank for all aquarists; beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels and is a home for most small tropical ray-finned fishes. This is the perfect size to house a male Siamese fighting fish or a small school or shoal of small fishes such as tetras. Its stylish and elegant modern design fits and suits almost everywhere. The smart features are extremely well-thought and are carefully planned and designed to give the best service and the best satisfaction and pleasure for the users.

It is packed full of smart features that make aquarium keeping great.

Structure

The tank is a hollow sphere with an open top and bottom. The filtration and heating system are located at the bottom of the glass. The outside bottom of the glass is covered with fiberglass as well as the tank has curved fiberglass stand with a matte finish that looks stylish and elegant and has a modern design. The glass looks like a ball that makes it awesome.

Centralized systems

The filter, light, and heater are positioned at the center of the length and width so the filtration, aeration, temperature, light, and heat are properly done inside the aquarium.

Self-cleaning filter system

It requires no filter cleaning and water changes. It only requires daily feeding and water top-ups. The animals, plants, and bacteria work together to create a balanced ecosystem and keep the water healthy. The harmful ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates are removed from the water. The filtration system is a moving bed filter which is a type of biological filter that has media that are moved by air, constantly moving and crashing into each other, removing the dead and old and weak bacteria, creating space for new bacteria which means it cleans and renews itself and it doesn't clog so the filter doesn't need to be cleaned. The dead bacteria are recycled into a plant food.

The moving bed filter refers to the bed of media that is constantly moving. The moving media filter is one of the most effective filters due to the high content of biological life which process large amounts of ammonia and nitrates.

The media are kept in a constant motion by the air from the air pump which are constantly bumping into each other, shedding the dead bacteria off, allowing only the healthy bacteria to live and that causes the media to self-clean, this allows the filter to reach optimum effectiveness without the disturbance of periodic cleaning, avoiding unnecessary loss of bacteria within the filter and ensures that the bacteria which thrive in the highly oxygenated environment are working hard to reduce ammonia and nitrites. The only problem is that nitrates aren't processed since aerobic bacteria only process ammonia and nitrites. However, plants will take care of the nitrates as well as the deep pots and much substrate are enough to create anaerobic zones where anaerobic bacteria develop that process nitrates and sulfates. The dead bacteria are absorbed by the plants.

Special media

The filter uses special media that provides the maximum active surface areas which are capable of holding lots of beneficial bacteria to colonize more than in most types of media. It is designed to move freely within your filter and provide the best possible habitat for both young and mature beneficial bacterial colonies. The media, at first, will just float inside the filter, but as the bacteria develop, they will turn yellowish and sink at the bottom, but not too heavy to be driven by the air. As the media move within the filter, it causes the old dead bacteria on the outside to be displaced, this makes space for new younger heavier feeding bacteria to rapidly colonize.

Air pump

The filter is powered by an air pump that moves the media and the water move which distributes the heat that creates convection currents. The bed is moved by air which passes through a series of holes that act as an air stone which minimizes and reduces noise and water movement while providing a lot of aeration in the water. The water is moved by air, which creates a circulation inside the aquarium.

Automatic lighting and heating

Its LED lighting is automatic, keeps the correct amount of light that the plants need, so the dark areas are where the light is to its fullest because the environment totally lacks light.

The heat is taken care of too; a temperature of 25 °C is automatically maintained, this is the perfect temperature for most tropical fishes. The heater is located at the bottom which creates convection currents helping the nutrients get efficiently to the roots of the plants; the heat is circulated, in which, the warm water rises outwards while the cool water falls inwards.

Magnetic light

The light looks pretty up the tank, but it makes a difficulty when putting the animals and plants in and out the tank. We've thought of this and if you need to get things in and out of the tank the lighting removed with an easy pull and snaps back into place. The light is held in place by strong neodymium magnets, plus a stylish connector.

Easy plant system

There are 8 individual pots for plants that slot neatly into the place around the filter system. This makes it really easy to care for the plants; they can be put out for trimming or easily rearranged to change the look of the tank. Eight containers of similar size and shape are great with plants.

Loam soil

A bag of loam soil is also included in the package. Loam soil is a type of soil which is a mixture of sand, silt, and clay. But the type of loam soil which is preferred by the plants have more sand and silt or have less clay in it, we've ensured that the soil your getting is this type of loam. The soil underlayer ensures that plants grow well enough to outcompete algae and recycle fish waste and toxins (e.g., ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, etc.).

Small-sized aquarium

Novo is a small aquarium tank which holds 20 liters of water; this is the perfect size for your small desktop, coffee table, or nightstand. This is the perfect size to house a male Siamese fighting fish or a small school or shoal of small fishes such as tetras as well as guppies. This is also perfect for invertebrates such as snails, shrimps, and crabs. It doesn't occupy pie a lot of space so it's ideal for small homes.

Durable glass

The glass is tempered glass 5 mm in thickness which makes it strong and hard to break. The glass itself looks like a ball that makes it awesome.

Modern design

The outside bottom of the tank is covered with fiberglass with matte finish looks stylish and elegant which is inspired by a modern design that fits and suits beautifully almost everywhere.
