History of Iran Championship cup

After the membership of the Iranian Football Federation in FIFA, competitions were held in a coherent manner and gradually the competition between the city teams began. Since 1956, the first championship of the country between the teams of Isfahan, Tehran, Tabriz, Mashhad and Abadan, hosted by the competitions held in Kerman, which paved the way for the beginning of inter-city club competitions, and from the following year, the competitions began with the presence of clubs.

The first attempts to hold a national league in Iran were made in the 1950s. On this basis, in the history of Iranian football, the name of Jam Abadan Football Club has been registered as "the first city team to win the championship of Iran".
