In February 2016, a roving IP editor added ~150 {{dead link}} templates - it included an in-text comment "consider changing the domain" and often recommended archive.is in the edit summary

This AWB task is removing many of the {{dead link}}'s added by the roving IP:

The links are often not actually dead because there is a working archive link for archive.today or archive.is
The placement is sometimes wrong and messes up the rendered page.
The placement can confuse other LinkRot bots such as IABot and WaybackMedic
IABot will (sooner or later) check for dead links on every page and fix them if a link is available, or add a {{dead link}} if not.
The comment "consider change the domain" makes no sense in the context of an archive URL. If the editor believed archive.today should be changed to archive.is then do that, but a {{dead link}} is superfluous.
