Fudge was born and raised in a sleepy beach town with bad art and delicious tacos. It's a small town; she cannot visit without seeing someone she went to preschool with. Fudge left her small town for the equally sunny but slightly colder Santa Barbara, then the not-quite-so-sunny and much, much colder San Francisco, where she stayed for quite some time. While moving from San Francisco to New York, then to Los Angeles, then to New York again, and then back to Los Angeles, she picked up a husband, two children, and a pair of huge, fake diamond earrings.

Fudge spends her time raising two small boys and a bazillion plants, searching for work, curating a Mom-focused web directory and blogging about music and her children's insanity.

Fudge likes the internet, candy, and playing the lottery. And this spring, she is also obsessed with gardening. She has put in seeds: sunflowers, forget-me-nots, hundreds of those fire-orange California wildflowers. She has splurged on new plants: water-hungry abutilons, a gorgeous purple tree she doesn't know the name of, even a blueberry bush! Here's a quick list of must-have sites for the week:

  • L.A. at Home This blog from the LA Times is all about southern California gardening and has great tips for saving water that she continues to ignore.
  • Sunset MagazineThe only magazine she remember from the 70s is still around and has a great site if you're local and have some outside space.
