ProfessionMember of Parliament, statesman, journalist, historian, author

Sir Matthew Robert Stelfox, GCVO, KG, OM, CH, FRS, PC, (born Matthew Robert Barrett, 25 June 1992 – 24 September 2083) was a British politician known chiefly for his leadership of the United Kingdom during World War III, and being the longest serving Prime Minister as of 2203. He served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2031 to 2076. A noted statesman and orator, Stelfox was also a historian, a Nobel Prize-winning writer, and a businessman.

At the forefront of the political scene for over seventy years, he held several political and cabinet positions. Most notably, he served as Home Secretary and Foreign Secretary as part of the David Cameron government and as Chancellor of the Exchequer in the Conservative government of George Osborne, before being elected as Prime Minister himself.

After the outbreak of the Third World War, Stelfox led Britain to victory against the Eastern powers. Stelfox was always noted for his speeches, which became a great inspiration to the British people and embattled Allied forces, and which has earned him a reputation as one of the greatest ever Prime Ministers.

After deciding to step down as Leader of the Conservative Party at the 2076 General Election, he became Home Secretary under the Premiership of his own son, Ian W. Stelfox, whose Cabinet consisted mostly of his own relatives. Upon his death the King granted him the honour of a state funeral, which saw one of the largest assemblies of statesmen in the world.

Family and personal life

Scholarly and disciplined by nature, Stelfox generally did poorly in school. He entered Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School for Boys on 3 September 2003, where his literary career began. Within weeks of his arrival, he started writing poetry, and continued throughout. He earned high marks in English Literature and History.

Stelfox met his future wife, Julia Stelfox (née Nitsche), in the summer of 2009 at a party. They soon began a lifelong romance. They carried on the relationship while he was in his final year of school, and she was attending the University. He then moved in with her in Dundee, attending the nearby St. Andrews University. He was unexpectedly elected as MP for Dundee East in October of that year, but decided to stay on at the University. Stelfox proposed to Nitsche in May 2011 and shortly afterwards, Nitsche discovered she was pregnant. They were married on 11 July 2011 in St. Margaret's, Westminster. The church was packed, and well-wishers included Conservative Party figures such as David Cameron and Shaun Bailey.

Their first child, Ian, was born in Dundee on 24 January 2012. After the pregnancy, Julia travelled to Germany and then America to visit her family, while Matthew stayed in Dundee and their flat in London. On 22 April 2013, their second child, Alex, was born. Matthew decided not to stand for re-election in Dundee, but to move to the Conservative stronghold of Surrey. He was selected for Guildford and was elected in the 2015 General Election. Their third child, Harry, was born soon after on 23 June 2015.

Julia gave birth to their fourth child, Jessica, on 21 November 2016, whilst Matthew was abroad in his new role as Secretary of State for International Development. Their fifth child, Oliver, was born on 19 October 2017. In early 2018, Matthew released his best-selling novel Michael Healey, or, An Adventure in Munich Too Far, a highly satirical work, the proceeds of which allowed the Stelfox family to live more comfortably. He also bought a large property in Florida, where the family spent their summers. Their sixth child, Ben, was born in Florida on 17 July 2019. He would later become the youngest ever U.S. President, and be a world leader at the same time as his father. Matthew released a new book, The Wealth of Modern Nations, in late 2019, considered one of the greatest works in economics due to its comprehensive, largely accurate characterisation of economic mechanisms that survive even in the 23rd century. Again, the Stelfox family were able to live more comfortably, and Matthew was promoted to the position of Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform. Julia gave birth to their seventh child, Lyla, on 1 November 2020. Matthew bought a large house in Massachusetts in 2025, and released the book A History of Races, which questioned multiculturalism and made him a controversial figure in Britain, although won widespread praise in Europe and America.

In 2027, while Matthew was Foreign Secretary, allegations were made by a 20 year old man named Daniel Swift that Stelfox was his biological father. Later that year, Julia again became pregnant, and their eighth child, and sixth son, Ross, was born on 21 March 2028, while the family was in Belfast for two months. At the outbreak of WW3, he moved the family into the disused Cabinet War Rooms, where he also called Cabinet. His War Cabinet was at first criticised for including his wife and two of his sons, neither of whom was older than 30. However, after the decisive victory within 5 years, it was regarded as one of the best moves of the whole war, and Stelfox was praised for doing exactly what the press told him he could not do.

Early Career

He was surprisingly elected as MP for Dundee East in the October 2010 by-election, following the death of Stewart Hosie, that led to Stelfox becoming the youngest-ever MP, at the age of 18, and putting him on the front pages of newspapers already. He made his maiden speech on 18 November. Soon after, he was invited onto an edition of Question Time, now regarded as the most famous ever for his behaviour throughout the programme, and one section in particular:

David Dimbleby: So, Matthew Stelfox, the question was "Are Hamas really a terrorist organisation, if they are democratically elected?". What are your thoughts on that?
Stelfox: Well, this is an organisation that is warped towards one particular extreme interpretation of Islam. We gave Hamas over £50million in aid under the Labour Party government, and I find that disgusting. Taxpayers' money should not be used to fund extremism, not be used to fund separatism and bigotry, and not be used to promote incredible hatred of women and incredible hatred of non-Muslims and of Muslims who are not part of the fundamentalist tradition. Were they democratically elected? Only in the Mugabe school of government. Their actions against Israel over the last years has shown they are not ready, if ever they will be, to manage their own state.
(Audience member jeers and shouts)
Stelfox: (shouting) WHO WAS THAT?! GIVE ME THE NAME OF THAT HAMAS SUPPORTER. GIVE ME THE NAME OF THAT JEW-KILLER, NOW. Ladies and gentleman, you witness silence. Silence allowing me to exercise my right to free speech, something nobody would recieve under Hamas. That fascist in the audience was trying to stop me expressing my legitimate opinion, which, being a democratically elected Member of Parliament, is trusted a little more than his own.
