Source: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

All the information about it can be found here and here.

First, whenever you want to add a new reference, you need to do so using the citation template. For example, if I use:

{{Citation
|url=http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/988410.html
|title=The executioner's song
|last=Assaf
|first=Uni
|date=May 30, 2008
|publisher=''[[Haaretz]]''|accessdate=2009-04-09}}

The result is this:

  • Assaf, Uni (May 30, 2008), The executioner's song, Haaretz, retrieved 2009-04-09 {{citation}}: Italic or bold markup not allowed in: |publisher= (help)

You can add more variables if you want to. They can be found in the first link.

Now If I want to cite that source, I need to use:

<ref>{{Harvnb|Assaf|2008}}</ref>

If you want to cite the same source many times, first cite it like this

<ref name="Assaf 2008">{{Harvnb|Assaf|2008}}</ref>

and then keep on using it like this

<ref name="Assaf 2008"/>

So, Assaf said this[1] and that[1]. He also likes popcorn.[1]

If you want to cite a page as well, use it first like this

<ref name="Assaf 2008 28">{{Harvnb|Assaf|2008|p=28}}</ref>

and then keep on using this

<ref name="Assaf 2008 28"/>

Assaf said[2] that he likes popcorn.[2]

If you want to add a comment on the foonote, add it like this

<ref>{{Harvnb|Assaf|2008}} - Comment</ref>

Assaf likes popcorn.[3]

  1. ^ a b c Assaf 2008
  2. ^ a b Assaf 2008, p. 28
  3. ^ Assaf 2008 - No, he doesn't! He likes oranges.
