Biography

RICHARD ASANTE (born in Garden City, Kumasi Ayigya, Ghana), known by his stage name Kalybos, is a Ghanain actor, comedian, a film maker and an entrepreneur. He made his acting debut in a comedy video series “Boys Kasa” in 2012. He is also the CEO of Bos production Ghana. He is popularly know to make people laugh. He received the Ghana Movie Awards for DISCOVERY OF THE YEAR 2014 and NAFTI Film Festival Awards for Best Cinematography in 2016 and also Black British Entertainment Awards in Best International Award in 2017.

Early life

RICHARD ASANTE interest in Film making and cinematography made him attain a (BFA) degree in Cinematography in National film and television institute (NAFTI) Ghana in 2016

Career

Richard Asante joined Shirley Frimpong Manso's Sparrow Production as an assistant Camera operator in 2010 with the motivation from his role model, Mr John Passah who was occupying the seat of the Director of Photography then.

He found interest in acquiring more knowledge in film making and gained admission to NAFTI in 2012
