The real Duncan Stonebridge (as opposed to the fictional, BBC Radio 4 Duncan Stonebridge MP) lives in rural Aberdeenshire and is at present mainly involved in Teaching IT.
Born in Clevedon near Bristol, 1970, but largely brought up in the Scottish Highlands, Duncan was educated at Edinburgh University, and then Inverness College, where he graduated in 1996 with a HND in Computing, and later in 2002 undertake an M Phil research Masters in computer Science at the University of Wales Bangor. Duncan has extensive IT experience, including Software development, Database administration, web page design, user support and training. Duncan is interested in promoting web services, the semantic web, XML databases and document management.
Married to Anni Stonebridge with one son, Duncan has also practiced Tai Chi Chuan for 8 years and has studied Kung Fu with Shaolin monks. He is interested in the applications of Tai Chi for self defence.
