Biography

I am Doug Maclean, currently a volunteer director at Groam House Museum in Rosemarkie, Scotland, responsible for the IT provision in the museum. Previously I worked as an IT manager in the public sector and as a business consultant. I am currently retired. I am interested in Edison[1] and Columbia phonographs and have a collection of these machines, as well as of the cylinders they play. I have visited the various sites in the US where Edison worked and lived, and have studied Edison's history.
Education
I have an honours degree in Natural Philosophy from Edinburgh University (1970)
