Tatiana Shmayluk (Ukrainian: Тетяна Шмайлюк) (Horlivka, Ukraine, March 15, 1987) is a Ukrainian singer, known as the vocalist and songwriter of the groove metal band Jinjer. Tatiana stands out for her vocal technique, which ranges from deep gutturals to clean singing. The singer is in a relationship with Alex López, former drummer of Suicide Silence.

Musical career

Tatiana got her start in music in childhood, taking as her closest influence her brother, who is a guitarist in a small Ukrainian band. After listening to artists like Nirvana, The Offspring, Mudvayne, and, in particular, Otep, where the vocals are performed by a woman, Tatiana decided to pursue music linked to rock/heavy metal. In 2009, Tatiana joined the band Jinjer, after the departure of the previous vocalist, Maksym Fatullaiev. In the band, the singer has been able to demonstrate her abilities as such, where she mixes singing with clean vocals and extreme gutturals. After the release the same year of their first singles, "Hypocrites and Critics" and "Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear", the band achieved greater recognition and popularity, which helped Jinjer record their first EP called, Inhale, Don't Breathe in 2012 and her first studio album Cloud Factory, in 2014. Since then, Tatiana, together with Jinjer, have performed various tours worldwide and sharing tours with artists such as Arch Enemy and Cradle of Filth. By 2018, after acquiring a contract with Napalm Records, they managed to reissue their album Cloud Factory released four years earlier. Finally, they release a new studio album, titled Macro, in 2019.
