Charles II

The number of pages in ordinary (salaried) fluctuated considerably during Charles II's reign, although it was officially set to three in 1669 and four in 1682.

Two pages in ordinary were appointed during the reign of James II.

William III

Four pages in ordinary were appointed during the reign of William III, which became the customary number, although there seem to have been only three at times due to unfilled vacancies.

John Brockhuisen appears in the post-mortem accounts of the Board of Green Cloth as a page of honour to William III, but this may be an error, as he appears elsewhere as a pensioner after serving as Queen Mary's page of honour.

Anne

George I

Three of Anne's pages were continued in office.

George II

Two of George I's pages were continued in office, while George II's two pages as Prince of Wales entered royal service.

George III

Three of George II's pages were continued in office. Five pages in ordinary were paid from 1760 to 1761 and from 1773 to 1782.

Extra Pages

George IV

All four of George III's pages, who had served George IV as Prince Regent, were initially continued in office.

William IV

All four of George IV's pages were continued in office.
