WikiHalflings or WikiHobbits "like to have books filled with things they already knew, set out fair and square with no contradictions"[1]. WikiHalflings add new long and substantial articles, full of detail to replace red links or expand stubs on subjects they already know too much about. They are specialist in some particular field, like 17th century fencing, Roman Republic politics or pre-Raphaelite models . Their contribution to wikipedia goes somewhat unnoticed because not many people read those articles about these obscure fields of study. Because they work long and hard on single entries, they have a lower edit count, but still feel they have made a substantive contribution to wikipedia. They are friendly to Wikifairies and wikignomes, but work in a different way.
