Brian Libby (born 1972) is a journalist, author, photographer and filmmaker based in Portland, Oregon, United States.

As a freelance journalist focusing on architecture, visual art and culture, Libby has written for publications including The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, The Oregonian, Premiere, People, Metropolitan Home, Dwell, Architectural Record, Metropolis, Architecture Week, Salon.com and Northwest Palate, among others. Currently he is a regular visual arts reviewer for The Oregonian. From 1999-2006 he also served as a freelance film critic for Willamette Week. Libby also writes and edits the Portland Architecture blog.

Libby is the author of two books: Tales From the Oregon Ducks Sideline (published in 2007) and The University of Oregon Football Vault (2008).

An award winning filmmaker, Libby's work has been screened in the Portland International Film Festival, the Northwest Film & Video Festival (Portland), the Five Minute Film Fest (Denver) and Exploding Cinema (London). His 2007 film, "Creamery Birds", received a special judge's award at the 2007 Northwest Film & Video Festival. Also in 2007, Libby's films were the subject of a retrospective at the Portland Art Museum called "Brian Libby: Travelogues".

Libby's still photographs were exhibited at the American Institute of Architects in 2003 in a show called "Out of Site", which was hailed by The Oregonian for its "beautiful images." His pictures have also been published in The Oregonian, Metropolis, and Willamette Week.
