Ellie Ga (born Ellieanne Galligano on August 24, 1976) is a photographer living in New York, best known for her book Classification of a Spit Stain. A member of the Ugly Duckling Presse collective since the mid-nineties, she continues to produce original works of importance.

In late 2005, the Research Collections of the Explorers Club in New York City began its first-ever Artist-in-Residence Program. For the first artist, the Collections staff selected Ellie Ga, who created a series called Catalogue of the Lost (and other revelations) about lost people, places and concepts of the Arctic. In 2007 and 2008, Ga spent several months on the Tara expedition, a scientific research boat drifting in the Arctic Ocean.[1] The result was a performance artwork titled The Fortunetellers consisting of photographs, sound recordings, and live narration.[2]
