Bob Naismith is a miniature figure sculptor and designer who works mostly for the fantasy and science fiction gaming hobby. His first sculpts were for Wargames Publications Scotland Limited who traded under the name Vulcan. Vulcan subsequently was bought over by Alternative Armies. Following this Bob Naismith set up Naismith Design with Jim Syme, Tony Anderson and Bill McKenzie (the last two of Navwar ). Naismith Design produced several lines of historical ranges in 15mm and 25mm scale - Ancients, Mediaeval, English Civil war, Napoleonic, American Civil war and Colonial. In the early 1980s Bob Naismith left Naismith Design (which subsequently became part of Navwar) and joined Citadel under Bryan Ansell with whom he worked for around six years. During this time he sculpted the first Space Marines and some of the very earliest Eldar and Genestealers and was responsible for most of the Epic plastic miniatures. He was in charge of the Citadel designers for two years and coordinated the Plastic design of the early Citadel/Games Workshop product, working alongside John Thornthwaite. In 1990 Bob Naismith left Games Workshop to work freelance. Since that time he has worked for many companies in many scales and working across the Hobby, Tourism and Giftware industries. Bob Naismith lives in England.
