Bjorn Bjornson (* 16. April 1892, Pinienhecke, Copperhead) is a charakter of the novel series of Discworld, although never mentioned in any book. He is a dwarf, lives in Ankh-Morpork, and is Constable at the City Watch. He believes devoutly in Omnianism.

Bjorn Bjornson was born on April 16, 1892 in Copperhead's capital Pinienhecke. His parents are Bjorn Bjornson sen., Dezka-knik of mentioned Mine, and his wife Tomas Bjornson Stronginthearm. Bjornson's parents were konservative oriented, so that Bjornson didn't got to know the "Overworld" at that time.

After his graduation in mining at the age of 67 Bjornson went to study the Kruk in the treacle mines of Ankh-Morpork. His master was Grag Abba Abbason. In 1973 Bjornson was appointed Grag and by that got at the age of 81 the youngest Grag until present time.

But Bjornson's career was damaged very soon. He got curious about a law in the Kruk which says that a dwarf "shall not enter the other world". Abba Abbason, his former master, explained this law to him. In 1991 curiosity overwhelmed him and he digged a way to the "Overworld". It did not take long, until the other Grags found out about it, and so, in 1992 he was unseated and expelled to the "Overworld" dishonourably. Bjornson, however, began to develop an interest in this world. January 4 2007 he signed in at the City Watch and in May same year he promoted to Constable.

Bjorn Bjornson has got an average nose, as well as a brown beard of dwarf-average length. He oftenly wears sun glasses. His eyes are green, although "green" may not be the perfect term. Actually his eye's colour turns from green into vivid green or pale green, dependent on his mood.

Bjorn Bjornson is very skilled in natural science, languages and mathematics. In contrary to that he often is not able to socialise or to amplify contacts to more than a peace treaty. Moreover he is not very creative. People who know him would sometimes say that he is an know-it-all, but often he holds his horses. Bjornson is not the person for leadership, because his voice isn't fit for something like that. As he shouts it is getting shaky. Bjornsom grew up in Copperhead. It is not rarely, that he uses a cupperheadian phrase. As all urban dwarfs he is in close letterly contact with his parents. Firstly they weren't pleased with his interest for the "Overworld", and some time later, they accepted it and finally they endorsed it. Meantime his mother died.

• The birthplace of Bjorn Bjornson, Pinienhecke (German, meaning Pine Hedge), is, translated into Dutch, Den Haag. So Copperhead may refer to the Netherlands as an "attachment to Überwald and Lancre".
