As of May 2024, his Instagram bio states he is a Neuroscience Professor at Stanford University,^[1] but this is incorrect; his title is Associate Professor of Neurobiology^[2]—the rank of associate professor is lower than that of a full professor.^[3] In common usage, professor, in lowercase, would indicate academic staff of a university at any rank, but when capitalized as a title, e.g. Neuroscience Professor, it is misleading if one is not actually at the academic rank of Professor.
