The Grand Ole Opry is a weekly American country music stage concert in Nashville, Tennessee broadcast by WSM. The first broadcast took place on November 28, 1925. The WSM Barn Dance became an official weekly Saturday night broadcast on December 26, 1925. The show's name was changed to the Grand Ole Opry on December 10, 1927. The Grand Ole Opry has aired 4,948 episodes as of October 31, 2020.
