Tom Sheridan

Tom Sheridan, a public policy strategist, is the founder and president of the Washington, D.C. based lobbying and advocacy firm, The Sheridan Group, whose motto is, “helping the good do better.”^[1] The firm provides representation for nonprofits, philanthropic organizations and social enterprises, including Bono’s ONE Campaign, Save The Children and Voices for National Service.

Sheridan began his career at the National Association of Social Workers and the Child Welfare League before joining the AIDS Action Council.^[2] He helped establish the nation’s first AIDS lobby, which eventually grew to include more than 140 national organizations. Sheridan has been named a “Top Lobbyist ” both in 2012 ^[3] and 2013 ^[4] by The Hill.
