Hello, my name is Lindy. i live in Goosnargh.^[1] I like it there. I like apples.

John Horrocks began the family firm of Horrockses, known to many Prestonians, at the time of the Industrial Revolution. He began experimenting with machines for spinning yarn in part of his father's stone mill at Edgeworth.^[2] In 1791 he moved to Preston and began to build a factory in Dale Street. This became known as The Yellow Factory, due to the colour of the exterior.^[3]
