A Rapid Service Rig or RSR® was developed by C-TECH Design & Manufacturing in the early 2000s in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. C-TECH Design & Manufacturing was purchased by Automated Rig Technologies Ltd. in April of 2015. Another name for the Rapid Service Rig or RSR® is a Flushby.

RSR® Components

− Cab and Chassis (Kenworth, Western Star, Mack, or similar)
− TC406 Crude Tank
− Triplex Pump
− Stiff Single or Telescopic Double Mast (54', 64', or 72') with an optional rod board
Drawworks

The benefit of the RSR® is its mobility, typically able to rig up and down within 15-20 minutes these units are able to troubleshoot and service multiple wells per day. These units became popular in the Alberta and Saskatchewan oilfields due to their speed and low cost as well as the lack of anchors connected to guy-wires to support the mast. During the winter months in the Canadian oilpatch securing anchors becomes costly and difficult. Through the use of freestanding masts and internally guyed structures the RSR® quickly became a popular equipment selection for the well service industry.
