Articulate Evaluation

Is everything in the article relevant to the article topic? Is there anything that distracted you?

  • Yes, everything in the article is related to the topic. Although, I was kind of confused on where to look for things because it is a Wikiproject, students or people are listing links that are connected to the articles.

Is any information out of date? Is anything missing that could be added?

  • Nothing is out of date because they are simply alternatives to medicine. Other medicines can still be added to the numerous illnesses that are listed.

What else could be provided?

  • Natural remedies can be provided not just physical remedies.

Is this article neutral? Are there any claims that appear heavily biased toward a particular position?

  • Everything in this world is biased. The people who started this project prefer natural remedies than those from the doctor/pharmacy.

Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented or underrepresented?

  • I would like to see alternative medicines for actual over the counter drugs.

Check a few citations. Do the links work? Does the source support the claims in the article?

  • Yes, most of the links work. In the talk page, there are reliable sources because some are nurse practitioners/doctors.

Is each fact referenced with an appropriate, reliable reference? Where does the information come from? If bias, is that bias noticed?

  • Since it is a Wikiproject, they just list the links. The actual articles are referenced with reliable resources. In the talk page, the people did list that they are biased.

What kinds of conversations , if any, are going on behind the scenes about how to present this topic?

  • The Wikigroup probably came together to use safer/natural alternatives that won't harm the human body.

How is the article rated? Is it part of any Wikiprojects?

  • I cannot find the ratings, but it is an active group and is part of the Medicine Wikiprojects.

How does the way Wikipedia discuss this topic differ from the way we've talked about it in class?

  • We have not really talked about medicine, but we did talk about how every side has a bias to it.
