Anna Moore is an American actress and entrepreneur who resides in West Hollywood, California.
Early life
Moore was born in San Francisco, California, and grew up in Berkeley and Albany. She demonstrated her potential as a young performer when she starred as Mowgli in a Berkeley Regional Theatre production of The Jungle Book with the award-winning theatre group, The Shotgun Players at the age of sixteen.[1][2]
After Graduating from Albany High School Moore moved to New York City where she studied acting at the New York University, Tisch School of the Arts and politics at New York University’s College of Arts & Science.[3]
Career
In 2007, Moore made her film debut in Magnolia Pictures’ dramatic feature The Life Before Her Eyes with Uma Thurman as the lead.[4][5][6] She was later cast in the film Shit Year (2010) starring Ellen Barkin, which screened at the Directors' Fortnight event of the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.[7][8]
She has also been cast on multiple network television programs including LOGO TV's Not Gay and CBS' Criminal Minds.[9]
In 2010, Moore portrayed the lead role of Alice Belmont in the feature film Fighting Fish, for which she won “Outstanding Achievement Award for Best Actress - Lead Performance in a Feature Film” at the 2011 New York Visionfest Film Festival and accepted a “Best Feature Film” Award with the film’s director, Annette Apitz, at the 2011 LA Femme International Film Festival.[10][11][12]
Moore was cast in the civil rights feature film America Is Still The Place (2015) with Mike Colter and Dylan Baker.[13] [14] America Is Still The Place won “Best Picture” Awards at the 2015 San Francisco Black Film Festival and the 2015 Harlem International Film Festival.[15]
Moore was cast as a model for Nissan's latest fully-electric vehicle, the 2018 Nissan Leaf, which was designed and developed in collaboration with Walt Disney Pictures’ feature film, A Wrinkle In Time (2018).[16] Moore can be seen in Nissan's 2018 digital marketing campaign and was a Nissan Ambassador on the red carpet at the 2018 Hollywood world premiere of A Wrinkle In Time.[17]
