Michael Shahrestani (born in 1963) is an Iranian actor, director, theater instructor and voice actor.

Biography

Shahrestani graduated from acting school of IRIB in 1984. However, he officially went on the stage for the first time in a play named "Red hymn of brotherhood" directed by Nasser Najafi at Qashqai hall of Tehran City Theater in 1981. Since then, he has worked as an actor, director and stage designer in the Theater, Cinema, and Radio. He performed one of the memorable roles in a play by the name of “Sahoori”. During 90’s, the artistic duo Michael Shahrestani and Mostafa Abdollahi was very famous in the Iran theater. Apart from directing and acting, Shahrestani is a well-known theater instructor. Regularly, he stages an outstanding play with a compound of his newly graduated students and professionals at the end of each training semester.
