Production

Creator credit for the reboot series is giving to David Collins. The reboot series is filmed in the American state of Georgia, primarily the Atlanta area. In contrast, the first season of the original series was filmed in the New York area. Collins also produced the original show for Bravo back in 2003. Collins sees the new reboot of the show as focusing on one "hero" each episode, as the "Fab Five" enters the homes of strangers and then change their lives[3]. Before production formally began, Collins and his production team searched for five gay men who would be "best buds" and could mesh together easily, as the original "Fab Five" did [4].

Future

David Collins has said that he is interested in filming the next season of Queer Eye in the Midwest, and that he would like to bring the Fab Five to his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio: "I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio, born and raised. I would like to go the tristate region, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, because you can base in Cincinnati and go across the bridge to Kentucky and go up the interstate to Indiana. The corn-fed midwestern folk are where I'm from — and I love actually being from Ohio, it's a great place to be from."[11] Porowski would like to take it somewhere with a colder climate, while Berk also has ideas for where the show may go in future seasons, including expanding the diversity of it to people of more ethnicities and genders.[12]
