Buchanan's exhibit included 150 pieces of art in different mediums, and was the most "comprehensive exhibition" of her work at this time. In the fall semester of 2018 the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art featured South African artist Zanele Muholi's Zanele Muholi: Somnyama Ngonyama, Hail the Dark Lioness.
