Diamond is a Muslim.[1] In 2010, he endorsed Tanzania's dominant ruling party, the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and its presidential candidate, Jakaya Kikwete.[2] He also recorded a remix of his single Mbagala, titled CCM Tusonge Mbele (CCM Let's Move Forward).[3]

Diamond is jointly managed by Babu Tale and Said Fella from the Tanzanian music industry.[4]

With his former partner, South African based Ugandan businesswoman Zari Hassan,[5] he has two children.[6][7] He had his third child with the model Hamisa Mobeto.[8] As of 2019 Diamond is dating a kenyan model and musician Tanasha Donna.[citation needed]
