The Amazing Race 38 is the upcoming thirty-eighth season of the American reality competition show The Amazing Race. Hosted by Phil Keoghan, it will feature thirteen teams of two, each with a pre-existing relationship and including at least one former Big Brother Houseguest, competing in a race around the world to win US$1,000,000. Starting in Hoorn, teams traveled through the Netherlands and the Czech Republic before returning to the United States. Elements of the show that returned for this season include the international starting line.
Production
Development and filming

In an interview with Rob Cesternino on Rob Has a Podcast on February 1, 2025, Will Kirby stated that The Amazing Race was bringing in former reality contestants for its upcoming season.[1] On February 6, 2025, reports circulated that the season would feature former Big Brother Houseguests as racers.[2][3]
Teams went into sequester on March 11, 2025.[4] On March 16, 2025, teams were spotted in Los Angeles International Airport and Detroit Metropolitan Airport traveling to the Netherlands, where the Big Brother franchise originated.[5] Filming for this season then began on March 17, 2025, with teams starting in the city of Hoorn.[6][7] The second leg filmed on March 19, 2025, in Prague, Czech Republic.[8]
Casting
Casting finals took place in February 2025.[2]
- Janelle Pierzina, Xavier Prather, and Danielle Reyes were considered but declined due to a low appearance fee offer.[9][10]
- Josh Martinez and his sister Maytee Martinez were in the mix but were cut.[11]
Release
Broadcast
On February 20, 2025, CBS announced that the season would air in the 2025–26 television season.[12] In an Instagram post on March 18, 2025, Phil Keoghan stated at the start of filming that the season would air in the fall.[13]
