Show/Hide

I changed the template to use the show/hide feature. I really wanted to have it use both "show/hide" and "edit" but I didn't feel that lucky. ;) If there are any template gurus out there, give it a go. — MrDolomite | Talk 02:38, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge

If anyone is watching this template, I'm about to propose a merge of [[Age at ascension · Longevity ·  · Post-presidency length into a new, fully sortable list. The list right now is at User:JayHenry/president. I started working on this in response to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of United States Presidents by longevity. Feedback would be appreciated. --JayHenry 16:05, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge VP

Just like the presidents, should we merge the vice president pages: Age of ascension, Longevity and make some other pages to an age page. 70.107.150.42 (talk) 23:56, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First Family of the United States

First Family of the United States: Possibly should be on this template or should be deleted. I actually believe the latter. Шизомби (talk) 00:07, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Presidents by weight

I think a list showing the presidents by how fat they were (where information is available). Meaning that #1 would be Taft followed by Grover Cleveland, we have height why not weight? BenW (talk) 09:32, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest creating a page for Presidential Pets as well. [JMM] 9 March 2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.206.106.206 (talk) 18:39, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Listing of lists

The distribution of articles between "Presidential lists" and "Personal life" seems to be arbitrary, with almost every entry in "Personal life" being lists; some lists are also in the "Professional careers" section.--82.35.251.109 (talk) 12:48, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. Jackmcbarn (talk) 17:15, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Political Parties

I don't know how often people check this template TALK page, so hopefully someone sees this soon. But I propose we add a "Political Parties" section to this template as they are related to the topic. I know there are a lot of them, so I am talking about just the parties that a President has actually held. Meaning Republican Party, Democratic_Party_(United_States), Democratic-Republican Party, Whig_Party_(United_States), National Republican, Independent, National Union Party and Federalist Party. Zdawg1029 (talk) 06:33, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well now I see this template is mainly for "lists" related to the President, and that a link to the Political Affiliation page, which is a list, so I guess disregard. Zdawg1029 (talk) 06:36, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Can you add List of United States National Republican/Whig Party presidential tickets and List of United States Progressive Party presidential tickets to the candidates section? 2601:241:300:C930:74A6:5B9F:A684:F861 (talk) 16:19, 8 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please add List of United States presidential candidates by number of votes received to the candidates section. 2601:241:300:C930:C82C:CD9:44DC:368 (talk) 03:58, 23 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

 Already done If by "candidates section" you mean the list of United States presidential candidates by number of votes received, that list has already been posted to this section.  spintendo  06:40, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The article is not in the section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:241:300:C930:5AB:395C:55CA:21ED (talkcontribs)

Please place the List of vice presidents of the United States by home state entry in between List of vice presidents of the United States by education and Living vice presidents of the United States to fit with the alphabetical order. 73.110.217.186 (talk) 19:51, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please change the bit that goes ...

* Democratic
* Republican
* Third party
* Green
* Libertarian
* Federalist
* Democratic-Republican
* National Republican/Whig

... into going like this:

* By party
** Democratic
** Republican
** Third party
** Green
** Libertarian
** Federalist
** Democratic-Republican
** National Republican/Whig

Thank you in advance. - 188.182.13.127 (talk) 14:33, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 Done I have put the lists of candidates by party into a "Political affiliation" subgroup and have put the other specialized lists into a "Distinctions" subgroup. Cheers. Drdpw (talk) 15:47, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. That seems like a good solution to me. - 188.182.13.127 (talk) 16:27, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
