Template talk:Disney Renaissance

I am not sure this template is really needed, but if we do keep it around, I think the content needs to be pared back a bit. The actual article on the Disney Renaissance focuses mainly on the theatrical films released from 1989 to 1999, with additional details about soundtracks and certain TV productions. This template goes far beyond, including live-action remakes, sequels to films made in the period, and theatrical musicals based on films. IMO, these items are only tangentially related to the Renaissance (at best) and should be removed from the template. Aoi (青い) (talk) 02:47, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I just cut the live-action remakes, sequels, and musicals out of the template. I was pretty close to removing singles too but I refrained from doing so for now. To be clear, I still believe this template is largely duplicative of other templates such as Template:Disney theatrical animated features and may not be necessary.
