Access date version fails in ref
I have been trying to use this template in Leyden jar § History. Although it works on the template page, the access date throws an error:
- Wikicode: The Greek word for amber is ἤλεκτρον ("ēlektron") and is the origin of the word "electricity".
<ref>{{MerriamWebsterDictionary|electric|accessdate={{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}-{{subst:CURRENTMONTH}}-{{subst:CURRENTDAY2}}}}</ref>
- Display: The Greek word for amber is ἤλεκτρον ("ēlektron") and is the origin of the word "electricity".[1]
References
- ^ "electric". Merriam-Webster.com Dictionary. Retrieved {{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}-{{subst:CURRENTMONTH}}-{{subst:CURRENTDAY2}}.
{{cite web}}
: Check date values in:|access-date=
(help)
Without the "ref" enclosure:
- Wikicode:
{{MerriamWebsterDictionary|electric|accessdate={{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}-{{subst:CURRENTMONTH}}-{{subst:CURRENTDAY2}}}}
- Display: "electric". Merriam-Webster.com Dictionary. Retrieved 2017-05-12.

Article titles
Since this template displays the titles of articles/entries regarding terms, and does not list the terms themselves, then according to Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Capital letters#Titles of works and MOS:TITLECAPS, title case should be used. Hyacinth (talk) 21:55, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
