This template is used on approximately 2,100 pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before implementing them.

Simple usage

{{Storm path}} uses a left-aligned thumbnail image with the file name determined from the name of the article ("PAGENAME" track.png)
{{Storm path|filename}} uses a left-aligned thumbnail image with the file name set to filename and caption set to "Storm path"
{{Storm path|filename|right}} uses a right-aligned thumbnail image with the file name set to filename and caption set to "Storm path".
{{Storm path|filename|right|size}} uses a right-aligned thumbnail image with the file name set to filename, and size set to size and caption set to "Storm path".
{{Storm path|filename|right|size|caption}} uses a right-aligned thumbnail image with the file name set to filename, and size set to size and caption set to caption.

To set the value for the alternative text, use |alt=description

Set colors=new to use the new colors approved in Wikipedia:WikiProject Weather/Color RfC for the map key. All new maps going forward should set this parameter.

Alternative usage

Use |align= to override the default alignment
Use |size= to override the default image size
Use |caption= to override the default caption

Using named parameters as described in this section in conjunction with unnamed parameters (as described in the Simple usage section above) may produce undesired results. Use only named or unnamed parameters.
