@98Tigerius What do you mean by context in this edit summary, and what page outlines this practice of not linking? I think there's valuable information for the reader in linking the redirects. There's information about the songwriters there, and it makes it a lot easier when a page is created for them in the future. Also, how does WP:SELFRED apply at all? @98Tigerius Please note that ayakanaa is correct on this, I would assumed that you're new to editing in this area i.e. songs/albums articles, this is the observed practice and there hasn't been any issues raised by senior editors that are also editing in this area hence as per STATUS QUO, I had proceeded to revert your revision. And also, SELFRED means A redirects back to A, what is happening here is A redirect to B with mentions despite "there's nothing about [some of] the target to describe [their full background in biography format]" in which "it makes it a lot easier when a page is created for them in the future" is correct when the redirect is converted into a proper article in which the redirect in the current state is aligned with MOS:REDLINK. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 06:30, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
