List of Routes

The list of routes seems a bit disproportionate to the rest of the article - whilst the information could be useful, it is dwarfing the rest of the article. I'd like to suggest splitting it out into a separate List of Travel West Midlands bus routes article. --Harris 09:37, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Formal Tone

I've cleaned the article up to make it more formal and factual. Not sure if I'm allowed to delete the cleanup-tone tag myself though.

List of Depots

We've now got a similar problem with the list of depots as we did with the list of routes. Whilst I'd be tempted to split the depot lists of into a separate article, I've noted that none of the information is referenced - possible verifiability or original research problems exist. Without independent backup of the data, it can't remain in the article. --Harris 18:40, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article is no different to other ones representing large bus operators. For example -

None of those articles have sources or references either. If you're going to suggest that this page should be altered then do the same for these ones too.

Well, they should do. I might look at those in detail at some point, but you're just as welcome to. Do you/anybody else have any sources for the information on the depots in the article? --Harris 12:25, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Further observation on the other articles: Some of them appear to have possibly interesting details on the history of the depots and so on. At the moment, the article is getting a bit listcrufty. See also WP:UNENC. --Harris 11:20, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Travel west midlands logo.gif

Image:Travel west midlands logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Future re-branding of TWM

As most people will know, Travel West Midlands is soon going to be re-named, as part of National Express Group's re-branding scheme. Because I think Travel West Midlands and National Express West Midlands will eventually become equally sized brands, I have created a new stub article for National Express West Midlands.

The idea is that when the names change gradually takes over, the current operational details of TWM can be transferred to the new article, and the TWM page put into the past tense - as essentially it will be history!! This will avoid future problems if the current TWM page has the details of the new brand put on it, such as the past TWM info being drowned out by other stuff, or an article that is too long and confusing. When this 'transfer of info' takes place, I (or someone else) can rename the List of Travel West Midlands bus routes article, as this has no real historical aspect to it.

This is why I have taken the new National Express logo out of the info box, and put the old TWM logo back in. I have put the new national express logo onto the new National Express West Midlands article I have created.

Hopefully you can see the logic in this plan - to avoid any future problems and to make the two brands clearer to he reader with distinctive internal links.

If you have any ideas or you wish to change it, me leave a message here or my talk page. Thanks, -- Arriva436 (talk) 21:35, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
