what is the difference between the a340e and the a30-40le

The A340E was used on all Supra turbos in the US Market. The A341 was used on the Lexus LS400, or Celsior if you prefer. The A341 has a taller first gear ratio 2.5:1, as opposed to the A340' first gear of 2.8:1

The Toyota Crown (Crown Athlete , Crown Royal Saloon ) and Mark X lines all used A760E from 2003-2005( coupled to JZ and GR 6 cyl engines) and the A960 models late 2005 onward with the 3GR and 4GR 6 cylinder engines , and A760E on 2GR 6cyl models.Kongkit (talk) 02:11, 17 June 2009 (UTC)KongkitKongkit (talk) 02:11, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Toyota Supra again. In addition to the A341 used in the V8 models with its tall first gear, I forgot the A342 used in some Supras not sold in the US. The A342 was a performance transmission used in with the 1JZGTE engine.
