Talk:The Caribbean (band)

Contested deletion

This page should not be speedy deleted because this band, The Caribbean, is a critically-acclaimed nationally-touring band with about a decade of articles, reviews and tours under its belt (as well as the pedigree of several notable D.C.-area alt- and indie-rock bands). I wrote this page about them because I'm a fan and (as a Denver Post critic and freelance journalist) have written about them a few times in the past, and I thought it was a notable omission on Wikipedia's otherwise comprehensive list of the most significant rock and art rock bands of the last decade.

I can provide numerous more references to reputable publications (AllMusic.com, The Washington Post, Pitchfork, The Denver Post, etc.) if need be, or whatever else you need. Just let me know (my e-mail is jhnwenzel@yahoo.com) and I'll update the page accordingly.

Thanks, John Wenzel
