Sliding window.Which level of OSI can it be found?

Perhaps there should also be a page for the Sliding Window Algorithm? This application of a sliding window seems like it may be less well known in some cricles...

Which level of the OSI does TCP reside?

Sliding Windows is the mechanism GAURANTing delievery of IP packets! Remember that UDP is not guaranteed, unlike TCP. Remember IP is dumb, TCP is smart. Hence the protocol suite: TCP/IP. (Suite = two)

UDP is used by SMTP (email) or much subsystem network communications (as computer systems talk (update/refresh) to one another).

TCP = Transport (OSI layer) IP = Network (OSI layer)

These two articles seem to have quite a lot of redundancy. I'm not familiar enough with the field to really be sure whether they describe the exact same thing or whether Sliding Window Protocol actually describes a specific instance of the sliding window concept, but in any case I suspect that some familiar with the subject could write a single article covering the entire area and combining the best aspect of both current articles.
