Sihanoukville (city) → Sihanoukville – There is no other page titled "Sihanoukville", so the disambiguation is not needed. "Sihanoukville" already redirects here. Vanjagenije (talk) 12:22, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

HI! There existed a page Sihanoukville until August last year, which i moved to Sihanoukville Province and created this one. I had suggested to call it simply Sihanoukville, but it was - wisely, i think - decided to add the (city) in order to stick to formal consistency.....most Cambodian provinces, who are named after the capital city do have this feature. Anyhow, thanks for your attention and involvement - i do not oppose the idea.

• 'Comment You have not shown that the city is the primary topic. The repointing of "Sihanoukville" to the city instead of to Sihanoukville Province where it used to point to, and where the province article used to sit at, does not seem to have been discussed. • Oppose until and unless a primary topic case is made. For now the undisambiguated name should point to Sihanoukville (disambiguation) which I have just created. Andrewa (talk) 11:23, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

• Support Disambiguation is unnecessary as the province has "Province" in the name, so WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for Sihanoukville is the city. If people really think it's ambiguous then a hatnote can be added, but the DAB page is unnecessary per WP:TWODABS. Number 57 14:45, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

• Opppose. Seems like a slam dunk but the problem is that, until late 2008, the entire province was the city. What is now the city is a new administrative creation and not necessarily the primary topic.
